Attending an American high school prior to attending college provides international students a distinct advantage over their peers attending high school in their homeland. Colleges and universities recognize that students who study in the US prior to attending college are better prepared to be successful at the top universities. It is a fact that students applying from US high schools are more likely to be admitted to Ivy League colleges than those that do not attend US high schools.
AISC High School Program provides a wonderful alternative to the highly competitive boarding school system or an alternative to better prepare for a later admission to one of the top boarding schools. With top boarding schools requiring TOEFL scores above 100 and SSAT scores in the 80%, very few International students are offered admission. Even the less competitive schools require a TOEFL of over 80. These schools have literally hundreds of applications for only a few spots. Though its’ relationships with independent affiliated schools, AISC is able to provide most students the opportunity to study at an American school for grades 9-12. These are not exchange programs, AISC affliated schools are able to issue an I-20 through graduation. Some students may wish to attend one of the AISC schools for a year or so to improve their English language skills in order to apply to a top boarding school.
AISC Middle School Program (Grades 6-8/9)provides students with the opportunity to perfect their English language skills before entering high school. This solid foundation sets the stage for students to be highly competitive once they enter high school; the time when grades are entered on transcripts. Special attention is given to support the younger students.
AISC works with top high schools on the east coast.
