American International Students Centers establishes affiliations with schools to provide schools with qualified international students to consider for admission to their institution. Through our network of affiliated schools, AISC seeks to provide students with high quality educational and residential experiences. All students from American International Student Centers are full pay.
Admission
AISC works with affiliated schools to customize criteria for admission to their particular institution. AISC has a network of educational consultants overseas who we work closely with to refer students to our programs. AISC interviews each student then works with students to complete all agreed upon application materials. AISC evaluates each student’s profile to determine fit for potential admission. This helps to streamline the application process for our affiliated schools. Affiliated schools are provided pre-screened, complete applications to facilitate their own admission processes. Schools determine to which students they will make an offer of admission. AISC has native speaking staff to help bridge the language gap that can often occur between students and their non-English speaking parents.
Housing
AISC offers either dormitory style housing or the opportunity to live with a host family. The choice of housing is based on the preference of the school and on the number of students.
Dormitory Living
AISC provides housing either on campus or close to campus at some of it’s schools. The rooms are furnished with usually 2 students sharing one room. The dorms are staffed by a dorm parent who cares for and monitors the students. Curfews and study hall are enforced to insure student success. In order to provide dormitory style housing, AISC need a minimum of 7/8 same sex students.
Home Stay
For those schools that wish to have their AISC students live in home stay, AISC will secure host families in the local community. The host families will provide transportation to and from school and all meals for students. AISC carefully screens host families and serves as a resource for the family and the student.
Guardian Services
For students under the age of 18, AISC provides legal guardianship while the student attends an AISC affiliated school. Upon arrival, each student is oriented to the program and is provided a cell phone and given access to our 24 hour emergency number. AISC supports the student throughout their time with us. We work closely with school officials, host families, dorm parents and parents back home to insure that each student is successful in our program.
